Jackie Robinson and Dodgers General Manager Branch Rickey were not only strong Christians, their shared faith in Jesus Christ was the reason Rickey chose Robinson. Eric Metaxas laments the fact that Hollywood chose not to include this important dimension in the recent film 42: Hollywood has been skittish about faith and religion since at least the late 1960s. Even when it's almost impossible to avoid, filmmakers find a way. The Johnny Cash biopic Walk the Line omitted the central role Christian faith played in how Cash overcame drug addiction. Even in 2007's Amazing Grace, about British … [Read more...] about Bad News on Jackie Robinson Movie

(He's currently in prison after pleading guilty to third-degree murder in the deaths of two newborns.) … [Read more...] about Murder Trial of PA Abortionist Kermit Gosnell

William Jeynes, professor of education at California State University at Long Beach and senior fellow at the Witherspoon Institute at Princeton, told the Christian Post that he found religious, mostly Christian, school students were a full year ahead of students who attend public and charter schools. The suspected underlying reasons, however, are quite fascinating. Check it out. … [Read more...] about Religious Schools Perform Better Than Public Schools
