Ross Douthat is one of my favorite op-ed weekly columnists. Formerly a senior editor with the Atlantic, Mr. Douthat (a Catholic) now writes for the New York Times (becoming the youngest op-ed columnist in the history of the NY Times). He’s releasing a book next week (April 17) entitled Bad Religion: How We Became a Nation of Heretics. Tim Keller calls it “essential reading for all Christians seeking to understand Christianity’s relationship to culture in the U.S,” interacting with Douthat’s ideas in a blog post.
The NY Times published an excerpt of the book this past week. And in the video below (which I have not yet finished), Mr. Douthat appears at about 08:30, giving an overview lecture on his book.
