Ken Sande, author of Peacemaker: A Biblical Guide to Resolving Personal Conflict and related titles, writes:
I’ve had the privilege of serving as president of this wonderful ministry for 30 years. There is nothing I would have rather devoted so much of my life to. But as Solomon wisely observed, there is a time and season—a beginning and an end—for every activity under heaven.
With this in mind, our Board of Directors and I have been discussing for several years my eventual transition from leadership. Last June we began a dialogue with a consultant to assist us in mapping out a formal succession plan.
As a result of these conversations and much prayer, we’ve decided to move ahead with the search for the next leader of Peacemaker Ministries. I’ve told the Board for a long time that bringing in a person with a new set of gifts could energize the ministry and boost it to a new level of global impact. I believe that this is what God is leading us to do, and I am excited to begin actively seeking the person He has been preparing to take on the role I’ve been privileged to fill for so many years.
