John Blake of CNN writes a touching and even-handed story of the rivalry and reconciliation of Charles Stanley and his son Andy. (I frankly don’t know much about either man’s ministry, and this is not intended as a validation of either man’s methods or theology. It’s just, in my view, a solid piece of journalism on two extremely influential Christian leaders.)
The younger Stanley opens up about his relationship with his father, and the evolution of his ministry style, in his new book, Deep and Wide: Creating Churches Unchurched People Love to Attend (Zondervan, September 2012).
