Robert J. Samuelson, writing in the Washington Post, nails it: The rap against employment-oriented schooling is that it traps the poor and minorities in low-paying, dead-end jobs. Actually, an unrealistic expectation of college often traps them into low-paying, dead-end jobs — or no job. California’s Gay Marriage Case to Head to Supreme Court?
Tobin Grant, writing for Christianity Today, provides an update of the status of California's controversial Proposition 8, which passed in November 2008, banning future same-sex marriage in CA and invalidating the ~18,000 same-sex marriages that occurred in the months between the May 2008 CA supreme court ruling (allowing same-sex marriage) and passage of the proposition (disallowing it).
