Bob Kauflin gives sound, balanced advice on this important question faced by many Christian musicians. Kauflin's bottom line: "Know your heart and seek to make music for the glory of Jesus Christ, no matter where you play or sing. Our music isn’t about us. It’s about drawing attention to the God who gave us music in the first place. No other kind of music is going to last anyway."Read the whole thing. … [Read more...] about Can Christians Play Secular Music for God’s Glory?

Huckabee Defends His Conservative Record
On January 14, Frank Pastore wrote an open letter to Gov. Mike Huckabee entitled Dear Huck: You’ve Won Our Hearts, Now Win Our Minds Too. Governor Huckabee wrote an outstanding response. On taxes: When I was Governor of Arkansas, I cut taxes 94 times, including the largest broad-based tax cut in the history of my state. I doubled the standard deduction and the child care credit, eliminated the marriage penalty, indexed tax brackets to prevent bracket creep, reduced the capital gains tax for both businesses and individuals, and eliminated the capital gains tax on the sale of a home. I reduced … [Read more...] about Huckabee Defends His Conservative Record

Excerpt (part of a quote from … [Read more...] about Mohler on the Rise of Matriarchy
Pray Like This: Hallowed Be Your Name

He addressed what continual communion of God throughout the day looks like. What Drives Mitt Romney
Dean Barnett, a staff writer for The Weekly Standard, publishes a brief, insightful column in the NY Times today on why he supports Mitt Romney, and what has gone wrong in his campaign. I feel duty-bound to post it, given what I've said about Romney in the past. I hope I was wrong. Excerpt: Voters perceived the cynicism of a campaign that tried to exploit wedge issues rather than focus on the issues that in truth most interested the candidate. They sensed phoniness. As a consequence, many have grown to feel that Mitt Romney can’t be trusted. This lack of trust is now the dominant and … [Read more...] about What Drives Mitt Romney
