I'm very grateful to Tyndale House Publishers, for publishing Thriving at College (of course), but also for completing 50 years of publishing edifying Christian literature. I think of riveting fiction such as Son of Hamas, Randy Alcorn's excellent books including Heaven and Money, Possessions and Eternity, or R.C. Sproul's timeless classic The Holiness of God. But here are some facts you may not know about Tyndale House Publishers: 1. Tyndale House gives 10% of pretax income to charitable work. 2. Tyndale House gives all its remaining profit after taxes and expenses to the Tyndale … [Read more...] about Happy 50th Anniversary, Tyndale House Publishers

Certainly the Bible spends no small part of its pages telling … [Read more...] about John Piper Discusses The Pleasures of God
Father-Hunger – Doug Wilson/John Piper
Pastor Doug Wilson released a book with Thomas Nelson publishers yesterday entitled Father Hunger: Why God Calls Men to Love and Lead Their Families. It includes a Foreword from John Piper. Though I don't agree with Wilson on every jot and tittle, I find him enormously helpful on issues related to masculinity and femininity and their interaction in marriage and parenting. This book should be very good. Thomas Nelson has launched a website for the book that includes links to a sermon series by Pastor Wilson on the subject as well as a 45 minute video. The website includes some insightful … [Read more...] about Father-Hunger – Doug Wilson/John Piper
